What is the cause of "Assertion Failed" error when i am using modal popup window?

I am opening a child modal window from a parent modal window and on closing the child window i am getting ...... the following

Assertion Failed: can't find last / in base url
Assertion Failed: expect url to always contain domain: pagename.aspx

Please...help me!
