what turns off capitals?

The actual script I'm using can be found at www.4thorder.us under the
"scripts" item, then look for layered menu.

For some reason, no capital letters are allowed.
At least they're not showing as caps.
Would this be from CSS or JS?

could be CSS:

selector {
text-transform: lowercase;
}
