Which API to use??

Every week I have to enter my timesheet by using a telephone system which
takes an eternity. So I thought it would be a fun project to web enable it.

Can someone tell me what API I need to use to use my modem to send touch key
commands over a telephone line. I started looking into JTAPI but I started
to get lost in the message center.

Does anyone have any samples of this sort of thing. Also if someone would
like to offer any design ideas all are welcome.
