Don't know, don't care.

What has that got to do with Java in

Wheeler. And it was "computer science", not just "programming", as he did
hardware as well.

At least, that's what they told us at the Cambridge computer lab in the
1970s - Wheeler was still teaching there.

He also invented the subroutine (part of the same idea, really).

a corollary of Wheeler's 'law'.
