Hi,
I want IIS7 as server to host my MVC-based website...
I've already been with 2 hosting companies.. and I'm not
satisfied at all.
I'm planning to go with a more reputed hoster with IIS6.
Is turning on wildcard mapping for the mvc routing system expensive
in terms of performance? What are the considerations?
Currently, my hosting company is doing a 302 redirect with
*ANY* request to add a trailing slash to the original request...
ie: www.mysite.com/test --302--> www.mysite.com/test/
(Even on non-MVC routes such as their "/stats" folder....)
And sometimes, when you request an URL not ending with a slash,
the server just times-out... Network-tools.com just confirms it.
Anyway, I want to get the hell out of there and I'm willing to go
on IIS6 if I can finally get a peace of mind... any advices?
Thanks
