ASP.NET browser independency means that no matter the browser or device, it
detects the browser and generate the write code, right?
So, is it capable of generating WML accordinly, as well?

It is but you need to have different pages with limited amount of content to
your WML devices unless your content can fit on the WML devices anyway.
