I didn't read the linked page, but Lawrence's posts sure aren't funny.
Somewhere in my communication classes (i.e., English class) I learned
about summaries, description, topic sentences, etc. Lawrence apparently
doesn't think that best English writing practices are important. As a
result, I don't think his posts are important.

I'm on the lambda dev mailing list, where Brian Goetz posts frequently
(he's basically leading the effort). Mr. Goetz post are a marvel of
communication and comprehension. He can explain, succintly and clearly,
very complex topics. I understand nearly everything he posts (nearly!).
My preception of folks in software engineering who obfuscate, don't
explain, hide information, etc. are the folks who are least likely to
actually understand what it is they're really doing.

Frankly, most of Lawrence's posts are just pointless narcissist
trolling. I honestly expect him to tell us that none of the awful
things we've accused him of are true at any moment now.

I completely agree that Lawrence usually do not post
anything worth reading.
