Help !!!!!!!

All the ASP.NET websites on our server are giving the error:

The compiler failed with error code 128

the server is running .NET Framework 1.1 and I have reinstalled it a few
times, I even removed and re-installed IIS.

Does anyone know what's wrong, it's a matter of time till the phone starts
to ring with irate clients on the other end of the line :)

Hi Kevin,

Have you installed any third party antivirus products (such as Norton) on
your computer? Please disable or uninstall them and test this issue again.

Hi Kevin,

I am very glad to know that you have cured this problem. Although
re-installing windows is not the best solution, sometimes it is the most
efficient workaround for some complicated issues such as this problem.

If this problem occurs again, please feel free to repost this question
here. I monitor this newsgroup everyday.

In addtion, I have found another possible reason for this error. It may be
caused by a virus. Please refer to the following URL carefully.
