Create connection with authenication - JMS

Hello all,
I'am trying to setup JMS to connect with authenication using J2EE 1.4
When to the application server admin console and setup a
security/realms file user but the code doesn't work with:

connection = connectionFactory.createConnection(username, userpass);

Where do you setup the username and password for the JMS code to pick
from?
Do I have to deploy the jar file with authenication?
