I want to comunicate directly to a dns server using c. I have managed
to connect to the dns server but I am not able to ask it to translate a
user friendly address to an IP address ( for example: translate
    www.myaddress.org into 253.66.5.11 ).

    Can someone help me, please?

You can't, you will have to use some system specific library since
standard C does not include any networking support. Try asking on a
    group dedicated to your system.
