html question - maybe imagemap or frameset?

What's the easiest way to do this?

I have a picture with a bunch of arrows on it:

http://www.richertnet.com/temp/school/imagemap-reduced.jpg

I have the corresponding pictures from the angles depicted by those arrows.

I want the user to be able to click on the arrow and see the corresponding
picture on the right hand side of the screen.

You'll need both - an image map with a helluva lot of links, and a frameset,
if you want to show the pic on the RHS. Frames are made for this.

I prefer the application of Frames here to a Javascript script.
