hello,

i would simply like to start learning some J2EE on Mac OSX 10.4. i
will not need to do anything
fancy, just learn some basic.

questons:

is this possible?

what is the best way to do this, keeping simplicity in mind?

what do you think about J2EE?

thank you very much for your time.

Of course it's possible. Why wouldn't it be?

How about <http://developer.apple.com/java/> for a start? Mac OS X has
always had Java installed out of the box. 10.4 didn't include Java 1.5
initially, but it may now if you've got a new Mac or recently purchased
a retail package. If not, you can get and install it from that page.
And one link there entitled "Enterprise Java on Mac OS X" leads to
which is said:
