Javascript includes

Hi,
I want to create a calendar control using something similar to
http://dynarch.com/mishoo/calendar.epl#gen0

It requires some javascript pages to be included in the page.

How do I write the control so that no matter how many calendars are added to
the page only one javascript include is in the page (preferable in the
header)
eg.
<script type="text/javascript" src="calendar.js"></script>
only gets included once.
