Need help with creating a calendar of events

Hi,

I want to create a calendar of events on a web page similar to asp.calendar
control. I want to remove the links from the days that have no events thereby
making them non-clickable. I want to store the information in the MS Access
DB that I will display when a user clicks on the day. When a user clicks on a
day I want to display the information on the same page as the calendar. I
have no idea as where to being and how to do this as I am new to .net world.
Can someone give me some idea or info so that I can start on right path? FYI,
I am coding pages using VB.NET, so don’t tell me solutions in C#. I don’t
know C#.

Is there any code that does soemthing smiliar to what I want to create?
