Positioning a Datagrid from code behind.

I was told previously that the following in code behind would position the
datagrid.

DataGrid1.Attributes.Add("top","10")
DataGrid1.Attributes.Add("left","11")

In my case, this is not effective. Is there a way to set the top and left
position of a datagrid? Can it go in the Page_Load routine?
