Problem in HTTPWebResponse in ASP.net

Hello everybody

I am using HTTPWebRequest and HTTPWebResponse to call a servlet from my asp.net page and capture the value returned by the servlet.I am able to call the servlet sucessfully by passing parameters but i am not able to caputre the reponse returned by the servlet.The servlet returns a string value.when i do the same thing from VisualBasic 6.0 using the Inet(internet control) i am able to get the value returned by the servlet.but i am not able to do so in asp.net.please help
