Server 2003 and Framework 1.1

Vinnie

Both versions are insalled on to 2003 server but there is only the option to
Allow Framework 1.0 in the Webservices Manager in the ISM.
Is it possible to associate 1.0 to files in a Web application as you can to
with Advanced server after you've upgraded to 1.1.
Or is 1.0 installed only if you run IIS in Compatibility Mode?
Thanks

AFAIK if you have both versions installed you can map each web app to
whichever ASP.NET ISAPI DLL that you need. You'll need to manually edit the
path yourself in the web app settings.

Hi Vinnie,

Thanks for posting to the newsgroup.

Ian's right. You can use aspnet_regiis with different options to map a
particular version of ASP.NET to a particular web app. You can view the
help by running

aspnet_regiis -?

from a command prompt. It's also pretty well documented in the MSDN
library.

Hope this helps,
bliz

Thanks for the replys-
Good information and accurate and that works for OS's that you upgrade to
1.1, but as far as Server 2003, 1.1 is installed by default but there is a
directory with 1 installed in it. The latter has basically only a few files
in it.
What exactly is that structure for.

Good question. I'm not familiar with a 1.0 Framework virtual directory
installed by default on a Windows Server 2003 machine.
