The executable for java

I am on HP UNIX 11.2 using /opt/java1.5/bin/java. But this java seems
like a driver script (however I cannot see it because it is a binary
file). What is the executable it is calling?

I want to run chatr command on java, but is says it it not a valid
elf.

Just start a java programm and check the process list. There are
processor specific executables in $JAVA_HOME/bin/IA64N/,
$JAVA_HOME/bin/IA64W/, $JAVA_HOME/bin/PA_RISC2.0/ etc. that are started
by $JAVA_HOME/java.
