__init__.py

Discussion in 'Python' started by Laughlin, Joseph V, Jul 6, 2004.

  1. I'm browsing through a python program that's broken up into many
    subdirectories and files. In one of the higher-level directories is a
    file called __init__.py. Does this file have any special purpose?

    Contents of __init__.py is:
    __all__ = ["list", "of", "subdirectories"]
