AJAX display problems

Hi,

I've got a html page setup which allows the user to type the first few
letters of a customer name in and the an AJAX function which retrieves
data from our database and then displays it on the webpage.

My problem is that the first time a user starts typing everything is
ok until they've selected a customer from the list. The customer name
is returned correctly BUT if the user starts typing again the drop
down list is not displayed. I've used Firebug within Firefox to check
that the AJAX function is being called, and it is, and it's returning
data back but it's not being displayed!!!!

Has anybody else experienced a similar problem? Do you need examples
of code? If you do then please email me and I'll send them to you.

Yes, hundreds. It is caused by doing something wrong.

Do you need examples of code?

Not at all. But rather than worrying about what I may or may not need,
why not worry about what you may want, and what you are going to have
to do in order to get it?
