HPjtune is a 100% pure Java tool that helps in analysis of Java heap
performance. Several graphs show heap usage, objects allocation rate,
garbage collection (GC) times, and other statistics.

HPjtune supports the -Xloggc option, available for all versions
of the HotSpot(TM) VM, starting with 1.4.0 for Linux, Windows,
Solaris, and HP-UX. Run your application with the -Xloggc:<logfile>
option, and then read the logfile using HPjtune.

for a free download or to get more information.
