AssociatedControlID??

I've done some checking and Microsoft's documentation says that this
property is only available in .NET framework 2.0?? I only have .NET
framework v1.1 and this property IS available?

I'm not clear what this property is supposed to accomplish -- what I've read
about it varies. Can someone fill me in?

What I have been told that if you install SP1 for .NET1.1, then you
should have the AssociatedControlID property for the <asp:Label>
controls.
