calendar control

I have an ASP .NET web application and I am using the calender control to
display the month view and some events that are scheduled to happen during
the month. Whenever the user selects a month, the page re-loads to show the
update calender view. I would like to make it as seamless as possible so
that switching from one month to the other doesn't triger a page reload.
Some people have suggested that AJAX might help with this but I dont know
how to integrate it with a .NET web appication.

Any ideas are much appreciated.

Search the internet for a javascript calendar by Tan Ling. I have used it a
few times. I can't find his web site in a quick search tonight but you
should be able to find it. There's a .net control based on Tan's purely
javascript calendar at
http://www.codeproject.com/vb/net/dwDatePickerArticle.asp but I haven't tried
that version.

There are dozens of others that are based on Tan's code as well, but you
should find his site. He still offers it for free but he does also ask for a
10 dollar donation if you use it. It's a very unfair price - unfair to Tan,
that is. It should be 5 or 10 times as much.
