Conditional window pop up through JS

Hi

I am new to all this, but I want to know how I can trigger a pop up
window called "pop", only if the particular HTML file named "pop"
exists in a particular location? (i.e) It should not open a pop window
saying "page cannot be displayed" if the file does not exist.

An important first step in programming is to state your requirements
clearly. Try again, being careful with the word "not".
