current web site ???

Hi,
i got a server control that needs to know from where it is run.
This webcontrol inherits from webcontrol & inamingcontainer

but when I type this...

protected override void RenderContents(HtmlTextWriter output)
{
....

string s=this.Page.Server.MapPath("./");
....
}

Page is instanciated
but Server is null ... !

now my question is how to retrieve the physical application path
from my server control in design mode ?
