Databinding a custom collection using the object datasource contro

I have bound a gridview controlin asp.net 2.0 to a custom class using the
object datasource control.

I am just wondering if it is possible to access the functions of my business
class (a strongly typed collection) from my asp.net page. For example to
write out error messages contained in properties of the class.

Since the a object data source control handles the invoking of my class I
can't see how to do this.

Any ideas please?
