deny users to enter password upper than 3 or x

i wrote a asp.net login and i want to deny users who enter incorrect
password more than 3 or x.

just use local policy on your server and set the lock on 3 times.
best to make the duration like 3 or 5 minutes, thats enough to stop
password crack tools and makes it easier for you to manage.
