DetailsView control width shrinks when click "Edit"

Discussion in 'ASP .Net Datagrid Control' started by Chip Cooper via .NET 247, Mar 26, 2005.

  1. I have a DetailsView control, and it has several fields that maycontain over 100 characters. Once I click "Edit" for thecontrol, the field shrinks to almost 15-20 characters. Is therea way around this so the initial width of the field stays thesame even when I click edit so the user can view the whole fieldvalue rather than just a small portion?
The DataGrid control seems to do the same thing.
    Thanks!
