Encrypting/Decrypting non-english characters /w Security.Cryptogra

Hello,

I've created to simple method, using MD5 encryption
(System.Security.Cryptography):

Methods: DecryptString(inValue as String) and EncryptString(inValue as
String).

Everything is working fine until i start decrypting non-english characters
(åäö). For these occurances. When i decrypt a encrypted string with the
non-english chars, they are replaced by "?".

What should I do to fix this problem?
