I've had a look at "argtable" but I wanna ask if people have had good
experience with it. Is it really 100% portable as it claims to be?
Ever had trouble with it?

I've had a quick look at "getopt" as well, but "argtable" seems to be
more thorough.

What advantages do you see in argtable? AFAICS, it's just GNU getopt
wrapped in some sugar (aka added complexity).

argtable is not written in standard C. (cheched latest version - 2-9.

getopt is provided by another standard, IEEE-1003.1, for which you can
post to comp.unix.programmer.

Why did you make such question when you could have found out yourself?
I did the job *YOU* should have done (download the source and read a
few lines)

Never mind I ended up writing my own code for it... didn't turn out to
be half as tedious or time-consuming as a first thought.
