Hi all,
I am a newbie to this awesome framework - i love it.
My situation:
- I have a master page with a menu on it and a ContenPlaceHolder
containing a DataList
- The menu is dynamic and is made using a Repeater with a Hyperlink
that gets its text and URL from an SQLDataSource.
- Previous to this menu, i had another menu (a TreeView) that used an
XML file.
- Back then, my DataList's WHERE had a conrol parameter assigned to my
TreeView menu thus when I clicked the menu items, the DataList
displayed the data accordingly.
My Question:
How do I make my dynamic Repeater menu behave like a standard menu in
parameter terms?. Can I assign a value to the Repeater so my DataList's
WHERE clause can react to what is clicked in the Repeater? Or is there
a way to have a Menu (not a repeater) use an SQLDataSource as opposed
to an XML file?
Any help appreciated, thanks, Warren.
