Help - Need IIS for XP-Pro

N

newgenre

My system was updated by a shop now out of business. They installed Windows
XP-Pro on it but there is no IIS. I am trying to add Visual Basic.Net to my
system. Is there a way to DL IIS for my system?

Assuming that you have the Windows installation CD, you can install it from
the Add/Remove Windows Components tool in Control Panel.

add to it... IIS with windows 2000 onwards is shipped with the installation
disc and is not available for downloads
you will need winxp disc or the recovery disc (if they provided you with
one - generally creates i386 dir somewhere in your root partition and copies
the system install files)
if you dont have either... afraid there's nothing you can do (might wanna
give ms customer service a call.. ie if you have the serial number)
otherwise.. get a fresh copy

Those disks legally belong to you. You will need them.

Thanks, I should have stated the shop did not provide the discs. My purchase
of Visual Studio.NET is useless until I can install a new copy of XP-Pro.
