how do I tell RDoc to show "Classes and Methods" in FILE_PAGE ?

I'm having trouble getting RDoc to create the "CLasses and Modules"
section, as on

http://www.ruby-doc.org/stdlib/libdoc/rdoc/rdoc/classes/RDoc/Page.html
says that the BODY template will be passed "%classlist%:=09An optional
string containing an already-formatted list of classes and modules
documented in this file". I've confirmed that the template does
include tags for classlist, but apparently it's not actualy being
passed to the template.

Since it's "optional" I expect I have to do something to select that
option, but I've failed to find what that is documented anywhere.

How do I turn on that option?
