How to ignore a dblclick

T

Tom de Neef

Consider this:

<BODY ondblclick=someFunc() >
<TABLE ondblclick="">

I want to ignore double-click events in the table area. This code does not
work: a double-click in the table area still triggers someFunc.
There must be a way to ignore the event, but how ?

TIA

I tend to use something like:

function cancelEvent(e) {
e = e || window.event;
if (e.stopPropagation) e.stopPropagation();
e.cancelBubble = true;
return false;
}

someElement.onSomeEvent=cancelEvent;
