how to make drawing pad

hello guys

well i need to make a drawing pad where i can draw characters , digits
and i use that pat later also.
So do you think java is better language to implement this thing or any
other language should i look.

Also if someone help me out in how to start off in making a drawing
pad

Unfortunately I could not find a link for
demo source for that app., but if you do the
'custom painting' part of the Java Tutorial,
it should set you up well to create such an app.
