IFRAME and ASP

Discussion in 'Javascript' started by Dave Anderson, Feb 21, 2004.

  1. Can you send a variable to a src file (which is in .asp) to an IFRAME
    without reloading the page?

I have a DHTML tree menu on page1.asp that has several selections for views.
These views are shown in a standard IFRAME window with a source file of
    views.asp

I want to send a querystring to the src page without refreshing the page?
For example an onclick reference on the tree menu would reference
    views.asp?view=test1 or views.asp?view=test2

    Is this possible?

Without reloading the iframe or the page which encloses it?
To the former, no. The latter, yes.
