is there a way to use an Attribute for ObjectDataSource's SelectMe

Is there a way to use an Attribute for ObjectDataSource's SelectMethod, and
not a method ?

An attribute returns some a datatable, but I can't set this attribute as
value of SelectMethod. I would like to avoid writing a wrapper method.

any help appreciated.
