J2SE and MailMan - in TOMCAT 4.1.7

Hi,

Wonder if someone can help.

I've got a project for client, small website that will be built using:
J2SE, running in TOMCAT 4.1.7 on Linux. The client would like us to
use MailMan (built using Python) - to validate users accounts.

Obvious problem is lack of interface between J2SE and MailMan. Anyone
know of any method for doing this, or articles on methods of doing
this?
