Jar request in browser

Dear all

I have a embedded system. On this system I have a web server and from
this server I have a *.jar file. This file is loaded ok if I test it
on a Apache server. When I am on the embedded server the browser is
keep requsting the *.jar file. Is there a time out function in java
virtuel machine or some other thing I have missed. The request varies
allot from JDK 1.5 to JDK 1.6. In java 1.6.2 and 1.6.3 my applet is
realy messed up.
