There are several tutorials at the upcoming 2004 IEEE CONSUMER
COMMUNICATIONS AND NETWORKING CONFERENCE that may be of interest to
the Java community. The tutorials focus on developing applications
for consumer devices, DTVs and home networks:
1. Introduction to Interactive DTV Middleware (MHP/OCAP): The
Multimedia Home Platform (MHP) and the Open Cable Application
Platform (OCAP) specify a Java middleware for developing
interactive digital TV applications.
2. Project JXTA Tutorial: JXTA is a Java specification for creating
peer-to-peer applications.
3. Building applications with the OSGi specifications: The Open
Services Gateway initiative (OSGi) defines a Java framework for
managing devices and services in a home network.
