Javascript Book

Can someone suggest a good javascript book? I already purchased one by
Wrox entitled "Professional Javascript for Web Developers". Could
someone also give me their review of this book? Thanks a lot.

By and large javascript books are bad; incomplete, out of date,
factually and technically false, recommending and demonstrating
practices that range from the inadvisable to the positively harmful, and
so on.

By a large margin, the least bad javascript book is "JavaScript: The
Definitive Guide", by David Flanagan (ISBN:0-596-00048-0).

Richard.

As far as I know, the most recent edition of that is the 4th, with a pub
date of Jan 2002. Is it still reasonably up to date? Is there something
more recent that is comparable, since I like that series?

Since this is true of most programming books, wouldn't pointers to
javascript websites be more helpful (even though that is not what the OP
asked for)?

I'd surely be interested in javascript tutorials, source code libraries,
etc. online in up-to-date websites. Know of any?

No, as most javascript websites are 10 times worse than any book ever
written.

tutorials? None worth reading.
