Long text in a table does not wrap?

I have no idea of what you are babbling about. I notice that you keep
using a
forged From field. Please do not stop doing so before you have a clue.

And I see that you carefully ignored all my replies, thanks.

So now you choose to move on my "from field". Why? Do you want to send me an
email?
How many people do you know that don't change the from field to prevent
spam?

Simon[/QUOTE]

God, I am sorry I now asked you to expand on your prob! You were
unlucky to be confronted by Korpela. He knows a bit but has
almost zero people skills. If you were more au fait with his
off-key English (I know, this should be beneath me, but as it
just so happens in regard to him, very little is....), his sharp
accusatory and humiliating replies, his little bag of pathetic
"hit-back" tricks (your email address for God's sake!), and if,
unlike me, you could muster a mature and objective stance, you
might take note of some of his concrete suggestions [1] . But you
were taken by surprise and I feel sympathy for you. Don't worry
too much! Usenet is full of people with every combination of
traits, you were just unlucky.

1. In my case, I carefully note what he says and then
deliberately do the opposite on my websites just because it feels
the honourable thing to do before the God of Ultimate and Absurd
Revenge. I have lost not only my nose but my business and income
because of this as I get sacked from job to job, I have lost my
house, my family and am writing this from a stolen laptop on a
found wi-fi band in a back lane. For me, it is worth it.

You sound like a mother sheltered its offspring from cold, cruel
reality. -Unlucky to be advised by Jukka Korpela?? I don't think so...
As for people skills, this isn't a cat house. It's a forum for
communicating information about and discussing html and related
disciplines. Reasonable politeness may be desired but is not required.
If you want more of a bedside manner with your gifts of knowledge, pay
for same.

Hah, no wonder you're in B de Z's killfile...

I realised that, his solution to most problems are to simply prevent the
user from doing anything.
This is not the way I do programming, I do everything I can to allow the
user to do what they want.

Simply because there might be a security risk I should prevent users from
using the site rather than adding a few lines of code to guard against the
risk.

I think he got onto the address because he had no comeback to my original
replies.

Simon,

Feel free to email me at my address. It is the one in the header. Granted,
it is an account I have set up for junk mail, not my primary account, but
it is a legitimate account. Oh, and my spam filter 'spam assassin' traps
all but two or three spams a day. As well, in the past six months, there
has been only one 'good messages' that it caught. Since I scan my spam
folder before deleting the content, I did catch that one.

I am not arguing that there is anything wrong with using a valid email
address.
I did not raise the issue, Korpela did, (maybe to change the subject?).

I agree that with a good filter it will work. I am familiar with spam
filters.
I use popfile and it does the trick 97% of the time, (according to its
count).

But you must also agree that my method is perfectly acceptable and used
quite a bit.
Admittedly I am surprised to see that it is not used so much in this forum,
but most forums I visit will somehow alter the from field.

Yes, I do agree that it is used quite a bit. It is an unfortunate result of
spammers. But hey, if we didn't have spammer's then what would I do with
my anti-spam software. I would never know if it was working or not!
