hi,
i keep getting the following error when i try to create a new asp.net
project using visual studio:
"Unable to create Web project '5040/Voting'. The UNC share
'\\localhost\5040\Voting' does not exist or you do not have access."
Now 5040 is the virtual directory i have pointing to a local
directory: c:\BegASPNET
in there i made a directory called Voting where i want to work on my
project, i already have the BegASPNET folder shared, allowing read but
not write access, is this problem? i went here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;320265
but doesn't seem to help, i'm running it locally, so i'm the admin on
my pc, so i'm sure iis is configured properly, i used the following
location when asked by Visual Studio:
http://localhost/5040/Voting
any ideas?
