non blocking io concurrent connection limitation

Hi all,

I am testing a middleware (NaradaBrokering). I simulated 1000 client
concurrent connections. I have no problem using (blocking?) TCP. but
when i tried non blocking tcp, i could only reach 200 concurrent
connections. then it started to wait forever. how can i increase the
number of concurrent connections. I am using linux fedora. JDK1.4
