OT: dots and arrows in VS 2005

I pressed some shortcut by accident and this arrows and dots popped
out

Excuse me to be OT too, but it's very funny, how these dots and arrow
from time to time come out. Once it happened to me as well, and I
struggled to find how to remove them. Of course I forgot everything, but
anyway you should find the solution in the dropdown menu of vs.

In the future when having trouble with the IDE please ask in a group
discussing your IDE,like microsoft.public.vc.ide_general.

You have managed to enable the markings of whitespaces, the arrow is a
tab and the dot is a normal space. To disable press Ctrl+Shift+8.

It is really funny, and I was trying to handle it ,but failed.
Sorry.
But give you some tips : Is that because of your 3rd plug-in? such as
Visual Assist?

I searched for visual studio group but could not find
something like microsoft.public.vc.ide_general .
