Printing to a printer under WinXP

    I've tried

    p = open('LPT1:','wb')
    p.write('test')

    and it doesn't work. I've also tried win32print's WritePrinter and it
    doesn't work either. Does anyone know of an easy way to print strings and
    such from within a python script to windows' printers?
