Hi,
I have a dropdownlist and the text displayed in the dropdown has acronym tags.
Ex:
"Its all about <ACRONYM title=Information technology>IT</ACRONYM>"
The problem is that when the page is displayed the text in the dropdown shows up exactly as above. I don't want the acronym tag to show up in the text but display the title as a tool tip as is the function of an acronym tag in HTML.
The above works fine for a html select but when used in a .NET Dropdown control it does not.
Can anyone help out here with what I might be doing wrong or if there is some way to make the above work in a runat server dropdownlist control?
I want to avoid any solutions which might use Javascript.
Any help will be really appreciated since I need the above functionality for screen readers and don't know what to do to make the pages compatible otherwise!
Thanks,
jbhan
