Good luck with that!

Hey, I'm originally from Cleveland... lived there for 33+ years (moved
out here because the wife's family is from here). It's not as bad as
people think, although the recession has beat the crap out of the area
because our beloved civic leaders didn't have the intelligence to
diversify 10-20 years ago. (Cleveland's mostly a manufacturing town,
which is causing a problem right now, for reasons that are probably
obvious.)

Cleveland actually is underrated in many ways...

All kidding aside, I love Cleveland. Great city - gave Baltimore a
football team.

Yeah, but Cleveland also stole Baltimore's ideas for a new stadium and
an inner harbor. So I'd call it just about even. You can have the
Ravens, anyhow.

(Don't get me started about Art Modell. We got the short end of the
stick. Modell's a lying jackass, and the people who own the new Browns
can't put together a decent team.)

Hey, I said I love Cleveland!

It's been fashionable for decades to make fun of Cleveland, also Baltimore,
Buffalo - any place where honest, hard-working people sturdily get on with
their lives. Doesn't mean there's anything wrong with those towns.

OTOH, getting people to relocate to Cleveland incurs some of the concerns you
expressed in the your posts - narrow economic base, quality of leadership,
having a winning football team. :) Being a recruiter with an anonymous
email address who posts a vaguely-worded off-topic ad to a programming
newsgroup seeking migrants for a piss-ant job in a not very
favorably-publicized venue, the OP will need to possess stronger advantages
than he evinced.
