Riiight.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bing_(search_engine)

"As of January 2010[update], Bing is the third largest search engine on
the web by query volume, at 3.16%, after its competitor Google at 85.35%
and Yahoo at 6.15%, according to Net Applications.[6]"

Just to set your mind at ease about who has the biggest share. But
that's not the point. If google doesn't find you, neither is bing or
yahoo or any of the others.

Those are the stats from the *search engines*. My gawd. They are not
hits from the *people* who come to your site! Don't you understand --
no, you don't -- that the "As of January 2010[update]" statistics above
are for how many *people* *use* those search engines?

The *people* who come to your site will be listed by browser, by IP

I am not a person inclined to use rude words, but you are trying my
patience with your stupidity.
Oh, and btw .. google managed to find my site without me

You post the link in Usenet, google will find you.

In terms of individuals, Google is probably the most important.

How are all those folks that make up your target group gonna find your

Gigantic sites can be made with a standards-compliant CMS.

That's like selling American cars in Europe,

Here in the UK it's even worse with an estimate of about 95% for all
searches, I believe.

Yes, the search engines have indexed your site. Probably by finding a
link to it from another site. However, as Beauregard has stated, the
stats you are showing us are for the search engine robot/spiders that
randomly come to your site (in order to index it). They are nothing to
do with how many searches (and hence hits) have been made by users in
order to find your site.

In terms of individuals, Google is probably the most important.

Many sites do have target groups.. target customer is another term
describing the individual within those target groups. Google is important,
but other factors will also be just as important, such as the idea that
there are MANY search engines besides google, and MANY other ways of
attracting the customer TO the website.
