re-use of a mask(kernel) ...on Vhdl

Hello,

I am trying to carry out a project of a blurred image processing under VHDL, images of a video camera monitoring which will be implemented afterwards on a fpga card. the treatment by convolution using masks . example a mask 3x3 gives 9 multiplications --> use of 9 multipliers the problem it is that our chart cannot contain more than 24 multipliers per defect,

so i have to re-use the 3x3 mask to make of it a another more large for example 9x9, or a 30x30 with partire of a 3x3.

i dont know how tu re-use a mask on vhdl to make a larger one, if some one know how to make it by using vhdl or matlab...
